Additionally, please remember that in two weeks (the end of July) I'd like to have the following from each of you:
A written 1-page description of your project goals and your methods
In this same document, I'd like you to explicitly name the "home community" for your project (e.g., graphics, ML, human-computer interaction, design, digital art,....)
A written list of 5-10 related works (ideally many of these should be academic papers)
A written or graphic timeline for August, Sept, October, broken down by week at least through August and September
Further, if you have any remaining questions about how the project will be assessed or turned in, please let me know so we can ensure your questions are answered by the end of July.I will be on annual leave for the whole month of August, and I won't be answering email or slack messages. Indeed, all MSc students are expected to work independently through August and September, with meetings resuming the week of 27 September. (I will move to one-to-one meetings at that point to give people more individualised guidance, though we may do a couple more group check-ins for peer support and sharing as well.)
